Ngôi nhà này không có vách, bếp là ba ông táo bằng đất, có lúc sử dụng ba lưỡi leng cũ chôn sâu xuống đất làm bếp. Thời gian này, trong nhà có một bàn tròn và 7-8 ghế đôn để phục vụ Thường trực Tỉnh ủy ăn tại đây hằng ngày. Khi có hội nghị tại hội trường, việc nấu ăn cũng diễn ra tại đây, sau đó dọn ăn tại hội trường. Các cận vệ cho Thường trực Tỉnh ủy là những người phụ trách nấu ăn. Việc nấu ăn tại nhà bếp chủ yếu là lúc sáng sớm và lúc chiều tối khi có sương mù để bảo đảm yêu cầu giữ bí mật.
